The flooring project that never ends

Before: a closet with a window!

Not near after yet: turning into a mudroom with the window now a door. (sorry for the different angle)

From the door facing in: I have one set of the lines painted. You can see our new basement stairs as well as the sheeted up hole near the chimney where they used to be... and yes, I have to keep painting this bloody pattern on the floor till the day I die.

Going public

This blog is now public because I am starving for more readers and dying for online affirmation to my life. Also, people were nagging that my posts would not show up in their RSS readers *sob* . This means less photos of my child, who's identity I don't feel like sharing to the WWW- which is heading towards facial recognition which means full half-naked photos of her might impair her future reputation and hireability. And yes, she is usually dressed in that manner thanks to country living.

Thinking

I wish I could control my blushing, you see, it would make things less embarrassing for me in situations such as when I try to leave the wholesale store with a cart of groceries without paying for them and then the clerk is calmly saying, 'you have to pay' over and over and I thought she was saying 'have a nice day'-- I was like, wow, she is sure insistant on me having a nice day. Most clerks don't really care how my day goes... oh... she's saying the word 'pay' I think,... wow, that checkout sure went fast, maybe I forgot a bag, oh wait, I forgot to pay.

Two thumbs up. Initiate blush. Initiate lots of sympathetic 'don't worry about it's' from the clerk and discussions about how my toddler's teething is impacting our sleep which is probably why I'm less then on top of my game.
