Running out of steam/time

My due date - according up my first ultrasound - is this Saturday. Midwives tell me Dec 8, though. Anyway, it's close and I'm exhausted today from my 4am visits to the snow-covered loo.

It's annoying when you chop kindling but can't pick it up without sitting on the ground first. Belllllllly!

Sleep time, zzzzzzzzzz.

House progress

Here's a few more pictures from my camera instead of my phone. They aren't in order as I'm uploading them via the Blogger app on my iPhone which lacka certain editing features- ahh the country life, no Internet :)
North side of the house
Inside - before. That is a bathroom sitting in the corner with walls around it.
Taking out the stairs??? by resting them on the cat. (Hello, WCB)
Lunchtime in the house (comes with free pingpong table)

Dad backblading/pushing away the clay/dirt that the mini-ex dropped outside the door (time saver!!!)
3 feet deep with the cat!
Handy to have a bay door!

Mom drilling holes for concrete forms

The mini-ex trying not to bash out the logs as he dumps the clay outside.
Dad pushing junk onto the burn pile
Dad cutting rebar in our 1/3rd basement
Pouring concrete in the gap in the foundation under the bay door

Concrete poured!!! (It took 13 hours to set up even with hardener in it...) Glen and Dave enjoyed staying till 1:30 am to power trowel it.

Basement

Our 1/3rd basement slab getting poured.

Bragfest

Look what I made:

It's a wool soaker (diaper cover). It's waterproof and self cleaning. Requires a washing about every three weeks and maybe a re-lanolizing every couple months to keep up the water-repelling.

Basement

Our 1/3rd basement is now dug. It will be used for storing utility tanks, laundry, woodstove, and bad children. Concrete is being poured tomorrow.

Cool gift

Cool welcome/thank you gift from our realtor. Better then a soap basket!

Hey wants me to make him a matching one, maybe a bit larger.

Don't think of it as pain. Think of it as an interesting sensation that requires all of your attention.

Digging

Dressed for success. -17 at our new property. Unfortunate the guy digging out our new basement quit this morning. Probably because his tonka truck kept getting frozen blocks of clay stuck in its bucket. Boooo, we have to find someone else now.

Look for pieces of this on the highway tomorrow...

Can't sleep

Baby is annoyed that I was cleaning and packing all evening and is now doing stretches and spins.

Sleeping at the inlaws tonight as our house is completely emppttyy. Mixed feelings! I said bye to about 100 people at work today and it felt like a dream.

Looked like the sky was clearing up tonight :)

We still have to go back to our house tomorrow morning to throw away some garbage in the shop and pick up the trailer and then we will be gone forever!
